This past week, James & I were in Powell, Wyoming teaching photography workshops and giving portfolio reviews of student work at Northwest College. We were invited by Dr. Christine Garceau, Assistant Professor in the Photographic Communications Department, to give students a better understanding of how to edit their own work and how to use studio lighting for editorial images.
It was my first time visiting Wyoming and I was pleasantly surprised by all the beauty that surrounded us. You could see mountains in all directions! It was hard to think about coming back to the concrete jungle that is NYC after being around such amazing nature. If you haven’t been to Wyoming, you should definitely put it on your bucket list!

A HUGE thank you to Craig, Anthony, Gary and Jane in the Photo Department at Northwest College and most importantly, Christine & Phil for being such wonderful guides and showing us an amazing time while we were out west. Special thanks goes out to Katrina d’ Autremont, Michael Christopher Brown and James Farrell for allowing their photographs to be used as instruction in the Portfolio Development workshop. It would not have been a success without all your work!
